Speaker 1: The world is changing super fast. But the education system and the lag time in the education system is so slow that it's going to take a lot of time to actually cater to the needs of the world that we're living in.
00:00:10
Speaker 1: And that's why this podcast is an important one. And how do we create universities of the future? How do we make sure that every person in this world, whether they are a child, they are an adolescent or they are an adult are in this journey of continuous lifelong learning and continuous reinvention so that they can be relevant and they can be contributors of the society. And for that to actually happen, we have to start thinking out of the box, we cannot think in conventional
00:00:35
Speaker 1: mindset of the conventional streams of education. Because if you look at the current education system as what we see in the world today, it was designed in the 19 hundreds or even before that to create an industrial workforce for the industries by the British us, it did its job because it had to create more people who are employable
00:00:55
Speaker 1: and not necessarily having the entrepreneurial mindset. But today in a fast paced digital world, we are seeing that the young generation, the Gen Z, the Gen Alpha, they are all thinking on a totally different mindset. They want to be more independent, they want to be more in control and they are not looking for just a safety and security in a job that the previous generation was looking forward to. And they're looking for meaning in the work that they actually do so for that to happen. We got to start thinking in terms of
00:01:21
Speaker 1: what should these new universities be like? It cannot be the typical, you know, the Stanford, Harvard Oxford kind of university, even though those have a role to play. And if you actually look at the big Ivy Leagues and even the I and the Iams, the one of the important reasons why people go to those institutions, at least if you go back in time, say 2025 years when
00:01:42
Speaker 1: it really had an impact on the students, it was mainly for the brand value that you would get associated with and the network that you would get. And of course, the knowledge is was an exclusive thing 20 to 25 years ago. But today it's not about knowledge. Also, you can find exclusive knowledge, amazing knowledge, unique knowledge anywhere on the internet from, from multiple places. So
00:02:03
Speaker 1: if you look at the time that we are living in right now, why would a kid want to go and study in an Ivy League or an I or IM is only for the brand name, brand association and the network. But having said that we are now living in a time where even the top companies and the top, you know, organizations in the world, they are not hiring people based on which university they come from. Of course, there are campus selection, all of those things happen.
00:02:29
Speaker 1: But what people have shifted to right now at a corporation level is they are hiring people based on skills aptitude and their characteristics
00:02:38
Speaker 1: and character traits. So keeping that in mind,
00:02:41
Speaker 1: we have to understand that the world is changing fast. The old way of doing things may not be relevant anymore. The people who are sitting at the top of the, you know, the ladder of the education of the academia world are having gray hair and they are not able to think as fast and progressive as the young generation and they are also too slow to make decisions because of their conservative nature. And for that to happen, what we need to do is start creating more digital universities
00:03:11
Speaker 1: and we are not talking about typical university but a university like experience for students to go through and learn from mentors who are implemented and not just professors of the knowledge. For example, if you want to learn about entrepreneurship, learn from an entrepreneur who's actually built a business and who's running a community around teaching people, entrepreneurship and building the skills over that. If you want to get good in wealth, you want to build a wealth portfolio and stuff like that. Learn from somebody who is an investor and who is building a community around investing.
00:03:41
Speaker 1: If you want to get better and healthy in which area of your life, learn from a person who has been healthy all his life or all her life and they're building a community around that. So once you join an ecosystem where the mentor is an implementer themselves, and they are the practitioner of the knowledge and they are going to be providing their own unique certification based on
00:04:02
Speaker 1: activities, assignments and achievements that is going to be more valuable than a piece of paper that you get as a degree saying that you are qualified in this or qualified in that because the formal education system was designed in such a way where the only way you can evaluate a student is based on memorization and how much they score in a particular exam.
00:04:24
Speaker 1: But if you look in today's day and age, it is not about memorization anymore. It is all about how can you navigate to the noise and solve people's problems efficiently.
00:04:35
Speaker 1: I'm a product of
00:04:37
Speaker 1: not the formal education system, but I went through a journey where without having a degree, I've been able to create solutions for people by learning from mentors or implementer and of course, creating my own unique different models. So how do we create universities in the future? Step? Number one is you have to define what problem that you want to solve.
00:04:56
Speaker 1: Whether it's a business problem, a career problem, a health problem, a relationship problem, a money problem, or it could also be a creativity problem. The second step is once you have defined what the problem is, you got to then design an entire journey, a learning path and implementation path to solve that specific problem.
00:05:14
Speaker 1: Now, if it's a health problem, you need to go specific, you need to go micro niche because health is too wide, you pick any one health problem, maybe it's diabetes or weight loss or obesity or stress. So if you take obesity as a problem, there are many methods to lose weight. So is it running? Is it Zumba, is it cycling? It is is it nutrition? So if you're going to take nutrition, now, the
00:05:33
Speaker 1: there is a specific way on how you can use nutrition to solve a particular health problem of a person. So they can get back into shape. Now, if you are going to be positioning yourself as a health expert or a nutrition expert, helping people lose weight through calorie controlled meals and you have a system around that, then you have to design a learning path and implementation part. OK.
00:05:52
Speaker 1: Learning path and implementation path, a learning path can be what all they should know about food, what all they should know about nutrition. What all they need to know about the human body that can all be courses and an implementation path is what are they doing to take action to improve their lifestyle habits, to improve their food habits and so on? And what are they doing to track all of that? And all of this should be on a particular system?
00:06:13
Speaker 1: So imagine if you're able to design a membership into a community where you're going to be teaching people, help helping them overcome obesity. But you also have a certification level where it's going to be a one year to three year journey where they are committing themselves to completely transforming their lifestyle and food habits and all of their patterns by being guided by a mentor
00:06:36
Speaker 1: who is telling them exactly what they have to do on a weekly basis. And it's a community based effort. It's not like a doctor and a patient relationship, but it's more like a community relationship where everyone is learning from each other.
00:06:47
Speaker 1: And as they attend the sessions, they get points as they achieve the different milestones, they get points and as they get back into shape, they get rewarded and recognized for hitting their goals. Now, this is progressive learning. This is what the universities, the future are going to be. I've just given you an example of health but can apply to any topic in life, whether it's a career growth, communication skills, if it's teaching people, how to invest in stock markets, how to become more wealthy? How do you invest in real estate?
00:07:17
Speaker 1: How do you uh you know, play guitar? How do you become good at playing flute or piano or any instrument? Every single thing can be constructed in a Gamification system like this where the first level of Gamification is a result is an activity based, result like an activity based award. The second stage is a result based award and the third stage is, is like a superstar award that you give somebody. So
00:07:42
Speaker 1: those of you who are listening to this podcast and you're not in my community, I would highly recommend that you join my community by going to SI zs.co slash join and join the internet lifestyle hub where I will actually teach you the nuts and bolts on how to create your own digital certification, how to create your own university where you are the mentor and you're getting people to implement and so on. Now, if you're already in lifestyle hub, I would highly recommend that you upgrade to my diamond level to actually see this in action. If you go to S ID zs.co slash diamond,
00:08:12
Speaker 1: you can attend my next diamond showcase. But I'll be giving an orientation on exactly how I have designed a platform called Pole star where I'm tracking people's habits. I'm tracking people's activities, I'm tracking people's points which all add up to certification, which goes to a one year to three year certification, which is equal, equal to a university like experience. And
00:08:31
Speaker 1: the results are phenomenal. I've been able to document over 100 people in my community who have crossed one core in revenue following this particular model and the same principles are being applied in all of my other students.
